Army Veteran & Roast Pro: Dan Brittain Headlines Comedy Plex Oak Park

Army veteran and ex-paratrooper Dan Brittain has been a fixture of the Midwest comedy scene for nearly 20 years, bringing a rare blend of military grit and sharp, deadpan wit to every stage he touches. Based in Southeast Michigan, Dan is a regular at the legendary Mark Ridley’s Comedy Castle and recently solidified his status as a top-tier performer by winning their prestigious Comedy Rumble competition.

His high-energy, unpredictable sets have made him a recurring favorite at major events like Laughfest and the Detroit Improv Festival.Transitioning from a background in improv to the “hilariously awkward” world of stand-up, Dan has shared the stage with seasoned comedy veterans including Christopher Titus, Steve McGrew, Matt Holt, and Josh Sneed.

Outside of the comedy club, he is a true modern-day renaissance man—balancing life as a biker, medical scientist, and animal lover. Whether he’s recounting road stories or delivering surgical roasts, Dan’s professional polish and unique perspective ensure he remains one of the most engaging headliners on the circuit.
